At Música Libre Austin, we offer engaging and culturally rich music classes designed to support students’ artistic development while immersing them in the Spanish language. All classes are taught entirely in Spanish by native-speaking instructors and adapted to the students' age and developmental level.

Enrichment Programs
Paid by the school.
These classes take place during the regular school day and are part of the school’s curriculum. All students in the assigned group participate.

Afterschool or Elective Classes
Paid by parents.
These classes are optional and offered after school. Only students who are registered by their families may attend. Música Libre manages all registrations, communication, and payments directly with parents.

Class Logistics

  • Classes are 30 minutes long, once a week, at the same time and day.

  • All materials and instruments are provided by Música Libre.

  • Classes can be scheduled in the morning, afternoon, or after school, depending on the program.

Music Exploration Class

Preschool (Ages 3–5)

A joyful introduction to music and Latin American culture designed for young children. Through singing, rhythm games, creative movement, and hands-on instrument play, students explore the fundamentals of music while developing motor skills, coordination, and social connection.

This class blends music & movement with vibrant Latin rhythms and cultural elements, helping children build a strong foundation in rhythm, melody, expression, and Spanish vocabulary—while being immersed in Latin American culture.

  • Age-appropriate, bilingual instruction

  • Exposure to Spanish vocabulary and Latin culture through music and play

  • Fun, engaging, and educational

  • At the end of the semester, students perform in a Christmas concert for parents

Instrument Classes

Elective program – Only for enrolled students


Students must bring their own instrument and take it home for weekly practice.

Música Libre’s instrumental program offers a playful and structured approach to learning music through Latin rhythms and cultural themes. Each student develops foundational technique, creativity, and confidence while progressing at their own pace.

Classes are offered weekly and culminate in a Christmas concert for families to celebrate what students have learned.

Only enrolled students may attend these classes.

  • Instructor: The same Música Libre teacher is assigned to each class to foster strong relationships and consistent instruction

  • Materials: All instruments and materials are provided by Música Libre

  • Curriculum structure: Each 8-week cycle focuses on a new musical and cultural theme

What students learn:

  • Latin rhythms and musical styles, such as salsa and other traditional genres

  • Fundamental music concepts including rhythm, melody, and movement

  • Use of percussion instruments and basic instrumental techniques

  • Spanish vocabulary related to music and culture

  • Group singing, dancing, and interactive activities to support motor coordination and social-emotional learning

  • Cultural appreciation and connection to Latin heritage through music.
